Questions to ask before you buy
Can it route by state and license?
Licensed agents can only sell in their states. Check whether routing reads the lead's state and the agent's license, or whether you have to build that yourself.
What happens when nobody answers?
Ask where a lead goes when the first agent misses it. Good tools pass it on after a set time or put it back in a queue.
Does it check Do Not Call and consent?
Calling or texting a lead without consent risks fines. See how the tool stores proof of consent and blocks numbers that opted out.
Can it tell which vendors pay off?
Each lead should keep its vendor and cost. Then reports can show sales and cost per sale by vendor.
Does it connect to my AMS?
An AMS (agency management system) holds your policies. A two-way link saves retyping when a lead buys.
What does texting really cost?
Texts are often billed by use on top of the plan. Business texting also needs a one-time registration (A2P 10DLC) before you send.
Frequently asked questions
What is insurance lead management software?
Lead management software takes in leads from vendors, web forms and calls, assigns each one to an agent and tracks follow-up until the lead buys or drops out. It also shows which lead sources turn into sales.
How much do lead management tools cost?
11 of the 18 lead management tools on this page publish prices: AgencyZoom, TLDCRM, Ricochet360, LeadSquared, InsuredMine, boberdoo, GloveBox CRM, Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, ActiveProspect, HighLevel and MedicarePRO CRM. Starting prices depend on the unit: $10 to $1,075 per account per month (seven) and $20 to $325 per person per month (six). The cost guide has every published price.
Which lead management tools offer a free trial?
Five of the 18 list a free trial: AgencyZoom (14 days), Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (30 days), AgencyBloc AMS+ (on request), HighLevel (14 days) and MedicarePRO CRM (30 days). InsuredMine charges $1 for its 14-day trial, and ActiveProspect has a free account instead. EZLynx offers a trial of its rater but not of the lead tools.
How is this list ordered?
We start from a default order built on trust factors, which are how many buyer facts the vendor publishes, whether its identity is verified, how openly it shows prices, how long it has been in business and an editorial review. Affiliate and paid links play no part, and a higher spot does not mean a better product. Read how we order vendors.
How we researched this. We based this page on each vendor's published pricing where available, terms and product pages, reviewed in October 2026, together with our team's experience working with insurance agents and agency owners since 2008.
