Insurance Payment Processing: Compare 5 Payment Platforms
These platforms let clients pay premium by card or bank transfer from a link, a portal or a page on your website. The money lands in the account you choose, and the better ones post the payment back to your agency system.
We compared 5 platforms on what the agency pays, who pays the fee on each payment, how fast deposits arrive and the agency systems they connect to.

Questions to ask before you buy
Who pays the fee on each payment?
Most platforms charge the client a fee at checkout. If you lower or waive it, ask whether your agency then pays the charge out of its deposit.
Can deposits go to my premium trust account?
Your state decides whether premium must go to a trust account. Make sure the platform can send deposits to the account you need.
Will payments post to my agency system?
A built-in connection records the payment on the client account or invoice. Without one, staff key each payment in by hand.
How fast does the money arrive?
Of the four platforms that publish timing, card deposits take from the next day to four business days. Input 1 doesn't publish it. Ask when the clock starts.
What happens on a refund or chargeback?
Some platforms take refunds and chargebacks out of your next deposits and keep the original fee. Ask who pays each one.
Can I take my payment history with me?
Look for a transaction export, and download your history before you cancel.
Frequently asked questions
What is insurance payment processing?
Insurance payment processing lets an agency collect premium and fee payments by card or bank transfer, from a link, a portal or its agency system.
How much do payment platforms cost?
Three of the five payment platforms on this page publish prices: Input 1, ePayPolicy and AndDone. ePayPolicy charges $25 or $50 a month, and Input 1 charges $20 a month only when payments total under $1,000. AndDone has no monthly fee, while Applied Pay and InsurePay quote the subscription.
Only Applied Pay publishes its fee on each payment. The cost guide has every published price.
Which payment platforms offer a free trial?
One of the five lists a free trial: ePayPolicy (60 days).
How is this list ordered?
We start from a default order built on trust factors, which are how many buyer facts the vendor publishes, whether its identity is verified, how openly it shows prices, how long it has been in business and an editorial review. Affiliate and paid links play no part, and a higher spot does not mean a better product. Read how we order vendors.
How we researched this. We based this page on each vendor's published pricing where available, terms and product pages, reviewed in October 2026, together with our team's experience working with insurance agents and agency owners since 2008.
