Questions to ask before you buy
What do registrar and hosting mean?
The registrar is the company where you bought your domain, such as GoDaddy. Hosting is the servers that keep your site online, and most providers here include it.
What do AMS, rater and webhook mean?
An AMS is your agency management system, and a rater compares carrier prices. A webhook or Zapier is a link that sends each form entry into another system.
Who owns the domain?
Register it in your agency's name at a registrar you control. Then you can point it anywhere if you leave.
What happens to the site if I cancel?
On most platforms the site goes offline and the design stays with the vendor. A few hand over the code, so ask before you sign.
Do quote forms reach my AMS?
Some forms create records in AgencyZoom, HawkSoft or Momentum AMP. Others only send an email, which means retyping each lead.
Is there a setup fee?
Setup fees run from nothing to several thousand dollars. Count the setup fee plus twelve months when you compare.
How long is the contract?
Many plans are month to month. Others lock in a year or set the term in your order form.
Who writes the content?
Most providers include prewritten insurance pages. Shared pages may match other agencies' sites, so ask how much is written for you.
Frequently asked questions
What does an insurance agency website provider do?
An insurance agency website provider designs, builds or hosts the agency's website, often with quote forms and insurance content.
How much do website providers cost?
13 of the 14 website providers on this page publish prices: Advisor Websites, BrightFire, InsuranceWebDesigns, Leadsurance, Wired Byte IT, Sippican Digital, Agency Revolution Forge, Banyan Theory and five more. Starting prices per account per month run from $49 to $297 across the 11 that publish one. The cost guide has every published price.
How is this list ordered?
We start from a default order built on trust factors, which are how many buyer facts the vendor publishes, whether its identity is verified, how openly it shows prices, how long it has been in business and an editorial review. Affiliate and paid links play no part, and a higher spot does not mean a better product. Read how we order vendors.
How we researched this. We based this page on each vendor's published pricing where available, terms and product pages, reviewed in October 2026, together with our team's experience working with insurance agents and agency owners since 2008.
