QuoteWizard review: leads, pricing and terms
QuoteWizard is LendingTree's insurance lead business. It runs QuoteWizard.com and partner sites where shoppers fill out quote forms, then sells those requests to agents as real-time web leads across auto, home, renters, health, Medicare and life insurance.
Shared leads go to no more than four agents and fewer than two on average, exclusive options are available and WizardCalls adds live transfers for home and auto. You buy by package and filter, pay as you go and manage everything in an online dashboard.

Our take
QuoteWizard fits personal lines agents who want steady volume and fine control over who they buy. Its filters go well beyond state and line, and its leads arrive in real time from search-driven quote forms.
Most agents should start with one auto or home package in a tight territory, with the filters that match the drivers or homes they write best. Add WizardCalls once you know your web lead cost per sale, or step up to the Elite program if two or more producers are spending $3,000 a month.
Filters are priced into each package, so ask for a quote on the exact filters you plan to use, and ask your account manager for the accepted return reasons in writing.

WizardCalls
A U.S. call center either takes the shopper's call or calls the shopper, confirms they want a quote and connects them to one agent. Calls are sold in packages for home and auto, from unfiltered to premium auto (drivers over 25 with no incidents and at least a year of coverage), and you can set daily call caps, how many calls can ring at once and a delivery window.
Recordings are in your dashboard. If you miss a call, you get a notice with the shopper's details. QuoteWizard doesn't publish what makes a call billable or how short calls are handled, so ask before you buy.
Elite program
Agencies with two or more producers that spend at least $3,000 a month on leads or calls can join Elite, which adds pricing based on your results, faster review of lead credits and a named account manager.
Getting started
- Fill out the join form on the agent site and choose your lines.
- Pick packages and filters with a sales rep, along with your territory and daily or weekly caps.
- Set the amount charged to your card. The card is charged again once your balance falls under what a single lead costs. You can set a cash cap to stop automatic charges.
- Leads arrive in the QuoteWizard dashboard and by email, and can post into your CRM, rater or dialer.
- Pause when you need to. Standard accounts get 45 vacation days a year, and higher-volume accounts get more.
Pricing
Each lead's price is the package price plus the filters you add, and it can vary by carrier and territory. Live transfers are priced by bid and package.
| Package | Who it includes | Price per lead |
|---|---|---|
| Auto Premium | drivers over 25 with few incidents, currently insured, no DUI, SR-22 or suspension | From $7.88 |
| Auto Preferred Homeowner | homeowners over 22, same driving record | From $9.38 |
| Auto Preferred Search | premium search campaign, drivers over 22, same driving record | $22.25 |
| Auto Premium Search | premium search campaign, drivers over 25 | $23.75 |
| Auto Preferred Homeowner Search | premium search campaign, homeowners over 22 | $26.75 |

Cost per sale
Sales to break even each month
Cost per sale is the price divided by your close rate. Break-even is the number of sales whose commission covers a month of spend.
Sample leads and filters
QuoteWizard publishes a sample lead for each of its six web lead lines, and the fields differ a lot from one line to the next. Every lead includes the shopper's name, address, phone and email.
Auto leads

The auto lead lists current insurer, coverage type, expiration and liability limits, then a block for each driver (birthdate, licensing, marital status, occupation, education, credit, SR-22, incidents and bankruptcies) and each vehicle (make, model, year, annual miles, VIN prefix, ownership, parking and use).
Home leads

The home lead adds credit and birthday, the dwelling limit, liability and deductible the shopper wants, their carrier and expiration, and property details such as type, bedrooms, bathrooms, stories, walls, roof, garage, year built, square footage, dogs and security features, plus one valuable item and its value.
Renters leads

The renters lead adds birthdate and gender, property type, the personal property coverage amount, whether the shopper has a current policy and with whom, and any claim in the last five years.
Health leads

The health lead lists each applicant's birthdate and gender, household size and income, the coverage type wanted and any qualifying life event for a special enrollment period.
Medicare leads

The Medicare lead lists date of birth, gender, height and weight, the coverage type wanted, household income and size, any qualifying event and whether the shopper already has Medicare.
Life leads

The life lead is the most detailed: birthdate, gender, height, weight, income, credit, education, marital status, occupation, any prior decline and current coverage, the type, amount and term requested, lifestyle questions (DUI, felonies, hazardous activities, moving violations, nicotine, private pilot) and a long list of medical conditions.
Filters
Auto filters include search or non-search leads, driver age bands, incidents and tickets, years insured, homeownership, marital status, education, credit, multiple cars and high-risk, DUI or SR-22. Home filters cover credit, newer homes, mobile homes, claims and dogs. Renters filters cover credit, condos and dogs.
For health and life, ask a rep. Carrier-specific packages are also available, and custom filters can cost you a carrier's cost-share.
Lead quality checks
Shoppers reach QuoteWizard.com and partner sites mostly from Google, Bing and Yahoo searches and fill out a detailed quote form. QuoteWizard says each lead then goes through its validation process before it's matched to agents by their filters. The quote form runs TrustedForm and Jornaya LeadiD.
Delivery and integrations
Leads arrive in real time in the QuoteWizard dashboard, where you also change caps and territory and request credits, and by email or text. They can post into your CRM, dialer or rater.
QuoteWizard integrates with these CRMs and dialers: AgencyMVP, AgencyZoom, APEX, Blitz, Contactability, Convoso, Dial Your Leads, FollowupCRM, Hearsay, Allstate Lead Manager, PhoneBurner, QuoteBurst, Ricochet360, Ringy, ROBO-Agent, Shape, VAM dB, VanillaSoft and Velocify. Its rater partners are Applied, EZLynx, TurboRater and Vertafore PL Rating. If your system isn't listed, ask a rep.
Lead returns
You can return up to 25% of your leads within 10 days of delivery. Request credit for a lead in the dashboard under QuoteWizard's lead credit policy.
The accepted reasons aren't published, so ask for a copy of the policy before you buy. Elite accounts get faster review of credit requests.
Contract and cancellation details
There's no long-term contract. You pay as you go, and you can stop automatic card charges with a cash cap. Standard accounts can pause for up to 45 vacation days a year.

Corrections
Vendors change their pricing all the time and they don't email us when they do. So if you see a price on here that's gone up, a plan QuoteWizard quit selling or a contract term that reads different now, let us know and send the link to the page where QuoteWizard has it. Somebody here pulls up that page and checks it before we change anything on ours.
