Products and getting started

SmartFinancial

  1. Sign up on the agent site and fund the account with a deposit. SmartFinancial picks the amount and you can't get it back.
  2. Build a profile for each product. Pick states or area codes, add filters and set calls or leads per day, call hours, how many calls can ring at once and the number transfers go to. There are also account-wide maximums for leads and calls.
  3. SmartFinancial suggests a bid for each product, and you raise it if you want more volume in a competitive area.
  4. Leads land in the SmartFinancial dashboard and can also go out by email or text, or to your CRM, rater or dialer.
  5. Once your balance falls to $50, your card is charged the rebill amount you chose in the portal.
  6. Your account manager handles 40 to 50 clients and goes over your account with you every two weeks.
  7. A pause lasts at most 14 days, and then the account turns itself back on.

QuoteWizard

  1. Fill out the join form on the agent site and choose your lines.
  2. Pick packages and filters with a sales rep, along with your territory and daily or weekly caps.
  3. Set the amount charged to your card. The card is charged again once your balance falls under what a single lead costs. You can set a cash cap to stop automatic charges.
  4. Leads arrive in the QuoteWizard dashboard and by email, and can post into your CRM, rater or dialer.
  5. Pause when you need to. Standard accounts get 45 vacation days a year, and higher-volume accounts get more.

Price and cost to start

QuoteWizard charges a package price plus filters, with published starting prices such as $4.50 for renters, and it recharges your card once the balance drops below one lead's cost. SmartFinancial works by bid and quotes typical ranges of $8 to $30 for web leads and $18 to $70 for live transfers. Plan on a non-refundable SmartFinancial deposit and a 2.95% card fee, neither of which QuoteWizard lists.

Shared or exclusive

SmartFinancial sells each shared lead to three agents at most, where QuoteWizard allows four, though QuoteWizard also publishes per-line averages, from about 1 buyer on renters to 3 on health. Both sell exclusive auto, home and health leads and exclusive live transfers. QuoteWizard adds exclusive renters and life, and SmartFinancial's transfers cover health as well as the auto and home that WizardCalls handles.

Lead returns

The window is the same at both, 10 days from delivery, and each pays approved returns as credit. SmartFinancial publishes detailed rules, refusing for example a shopper who already bought or never called back, but sets no published cap. QuoteWizard is the reverse, with a 25% ceiling on returns and no public list of accepted reasons.

Full return terms: SmartFinancial and QuoteWizard.

Contract and cancellation

Both run without a long-term commitment, and pauses favor QuoteWizard, which allows 45 days a year compared with SmartFinancial's 14 days before billing resumes on its own. SmartFinancial needs a written cancellation that it processes within 15 business days, and it keeps any leftover balance as spendable credit. QuoteWizard publishes neither its cancellation steps nor what happens to unused funds.

Full contract terms: SmartFinancial and QuoteWizard.

Delivery and integrations

Delivery is close to identical, with both landing leads in a dashboard and pushing them by email, text or into a CRM, dialer or rater. SmartFinancial will also build a custom API link and treats its job as done once the lead hits the dashboard, so test your connections. QuoteWizard's dashboard doubles as the place to adjust caps and territory.

Lead quality checks

Both screen live calls and lean on their own quote sites, QuoteWizard.com fed by search traffic and SmartFinancial.com backed by partners and affiliates. QuoteWizard points to an in-house validation step plus TrustedForm and Jornaya LeadiD on its form. SmartFinancial names xVerify and RealValidation as outside contact checkers and makes affiliates keep consent proof for five years.
