Zoho CRM review: pricing, plans and integrations

By the IAT editorial team | Updated October 9, 2026

Zoho CRM is a general CRM that insurance agencies and brokers set up for their sales pipeline, policies and renewals beside their AMS. Policies are added as a custom module linked to each client.

The free edition covers 3 users, and paid editions start at $14 a user per month billed yearly.

Our take

Zoho CRM fits agencies that want published per-user prices and are willing to build their own insurance setup. Policies, carriers and claims become custom records, and the AMS stays the source of truth.

Most agencies start with the 15-day free trial and Zoho's free onboarding sessions, then bring in a partner for the AMS link.

Keeping policies as their own records takes Enterprise or Ultimate.

Pros

  • A free edition for three users and published prices for every edition
  • A 15-day free trial with no card
  • iPhone, iPad and Android apps that work offline
  • Audit logs, logins limited to set networks and HIPAA settings from Standard up

Cons

  • Policies, carriers and claims have to be set up by you or a partner
  • No standard AMS connector, so syncing your AMS is custom work
  • A renewal date can't start a timed email series (a cadence), so renewals need a workflow
  • No carrier downloads, commission tracking or Medicare tools

Web forms can run assignment rules, double opt-in and spam checks. Unique fields and duplicate checks stop a lead from being entered twice, including against existing contacts.

Calling

Built in and powered by Twilio, with call logging, recording, queues and call reports.

Texting

Stopping a cadence
It stops when the record reaches an outcome. An email unsubscribe doesn't stop its call and task steps
Policy records
Cadences on custom modules can only send email and create tasks
Texting registration
US business texting needs 10DLC registration first

AMS and carrier connections

Zoho has no built-in AMS connector and no carrier downloads. EZLynx links through a custom build or Zapier, and partners build Applied Epic links.

Corrections

Vendors change their pricing all the time and they don't email us when they do. So if you see a price on here that's gone up, a plan Zoho CRM quit selling or a contract term that reads different now, let us know and send the link to the page where Zoho CRM has it. Somebody here pulls up that page and checks it before we change anything on ours.
