Intulse review for insurance agents: pricing, dialing and compliance
Intulse is a cloud phone system for desk phones, the browser and a mobile app. It logs calls and recordings into AgencyBloc, MedicarePRO, NowCerts, NextAgency and QQCatalyst.
There is one plan, priced per extension, with the rate falling as the account grows.
- Best for
- Agencies that want office phones logging calls to AgencyBloc, MedicarePRO, NowCerts or QQCatalyst
- Type
- Business phone system
- Price
- From $26 to $42 an extension per month, 2-extension minimum
- Dialing
- Manual and click-to-call. The terms rule out auto-dialing on unlimited minutes
- Texting
- One-to-one texts included. Bulk and API texts paid per message
- Recording
- Included, kept while the account is open
- CRM connections
- AgencyBloc, MedicarePRO, NowCerts, NextAgency and QQCatalyst
Our take
Intulse earns a look for its insurance links. Few phone systems write call logs and recordings straight into AgencyBloc, MedicarePRO or NowCerts.
It is not a dialer. The service agreement says unlimited minutes aren't for auto-dialing or call centers.
Recordings stay until you delete them, which helps Medicare agencies, and copies in the CRM outlast the account.
Pros
- Call logs and recordings in AgencyBloc, MedicarePRO and NowCerts
- Recordings kept until you delete them
- Listen, whisper and barge included
- Text archiving to Smarsh and Global Relay
- Many ring group and queue patterns
Cons
- No dialer, and auto-dialing is ruled out
- 12-month term for offices under 5 extensions
- No 10DLC registration for sole proprietors
- No refunds
- Queues and integrations cost extra

Good to know before you buy
- Agency system links cost $2.50 a user a month.

- The service agreement says unlimited minutes aren't for auto-dialing or call centers

Inbound calls and transfers
Intulse handles inbound well for its size. Ring groups have many patterns, and paid queues add eight ways to share calls among agents.
- Routing
- Virtual receptionist, phone menus, time and calendar rules
- Queues
- Paid add-on. Least recent, fewest calls, round robin, linear, random or ring all
- Ring groups
- Ring all, hunt, first available, first not on the phone or random
- After hours
- Time and calendar routing
Phone numbers and spam labels
- Who supplies numbers
- Intulse, ordered in the account center
- Porting in
- Under 50 numbers in 5 to 18 business days, with a temporary number meanwhile
- Taking numbers with you
- Port before the termination date. A special-request fee can apply
- Caller name
- Up to 15 characters, live with most carriers in 7 to 10 business days
- Spam label monitoring
- Yours, through Free Caller Registry
Do Not Call, calling hours and consent
- National Do Not Call list
- Not scrubbed
- Calling hours
- Not enforced
- Opt-outs
- STOP blocks texts from that number until START. The four automatic replies can be edited
Phones, not a dialer Intulse has no list tools, so there is nothing to scrub or pace. Producers who dial leads still need their own Do Not Call process.
Texting and registration
- Plans with texting
- Included. Bulk and scheduled texts are paid per segment
- Pictures
- Yes
- Carrier registration
- Intulse files the 10DLC registration (US carrier registration for business texting) from your legal name and tax ID
- Sole proprietors
- Not accepted for 10DLC. Use a toll-free number instead
- Campaign lock
- A submitted campaign carries a 3-month registry commitment, even if denied
- Banned uses
- Third-party lead generation and affiliate marketing
- Opt-out words
- STOP, START and HELP
Call recording and Medicare
- Recording
- Inbound and outbound, automatic or on demand. Ring groups can force it
- Pause
- Allowed users can start and stop
- How long it's kept
- Until you delete it, while the account is open
- Where it's stored
- US data centers
- Export
- One at a time, or a monthly ZIP for a quoted fee
- Transcripts
- Voicemail included. Call transcripts through GReminders or Jump
- After you cancel
- Data can be deleted. Recordings copied to AgencyBloc stay there
Under CMS's rule for the 2027 plan year, Medicare agencies need six years of sales calls on file. Intulse holds recordings with no time limit while you stay, and copies in AgencyBloc or MedicarePRO survive a switch.

Corrections
Vendors change their pricing all the time and they don't email us when they do. So if you see a price on here that's gone up, a plan Intulse quit selling or a contract term that reads different now, let us know and send the link to the page where Intulse has it. Somebody here pulls up that page and checks it before we change anything on ours.
