VanceTel review for insurance agents: pricing, dialing and compliance
VanceTel replaces office desk phones with a cloud system that rings desk, mobile and desktop apps together. Taxes and fees are in the price.
It fits small agencies that mostly take calls. Voice + Text adds texting from the office number.

Our take
VanceTel is a straightforward office phone system with all-in pricing. Routing by line of business or ZIP code suits agencies that take inbound calls.
It is not a dialer. Recordings last only 30 days, which falls far short of the Medicare rule.
The lowest price needs a 3-year term.

- Free number port-in

- Power and predictive
- Not offered. VanceTel is a phone system, not a dialer
Inbound calls and transfers
Inbound routing is the main job here. Calls can route by line of business or ZIP code.
- Routing
- By line of business, ZIP code or in sequence
- Queues
- Ring groups and call queues on both plans
- Phone menu
- Auto-attendant on both plans
- After hours
- Business-hours, holiday and after-hours schedules, with failover to another number
Phone numbers and spam labels
- Who supplies numbers
- VanceTel
- Bring your own number
- Free port-in. Usually 7 to 14 business days
- Taking numbers with you
- VanceTel says it will port them out
- Bring your own carrier
- SIP trunking supported
Do Not Call, calling hours and consent
- National Do Not Call list
- No scrub. The agency handles it
- Opt-outs
- STOP and similar words block texts across the account
- Consent records
- Keep your own for texting
- Recording consent
- Two-party consent prompts can be turned on for states that need them
An office phone, not a calling floor VanceTel has no Do Not Call or calling-hour tools because it isn't built for outbound campaigns. Agencies that cold call need a separate dialer and scrub.

Corrections
Vendors change their pricing all the time and they don't email us when they do. So if you see a price on here that's gone up, a plan VanceTel quit selling or a contract term that reads different now, let us know and send the link to the page where VanceTel has it. Somebody here pulls up that page and checks it before we change anything on ours.
