MailerLite review: pricing, automations and AMS connections for agents

By the IAT editorial team | Updated October 4, 2026

MailerLite is a low-cost email tool with a clean editor and published prices for every list size up to 200,000. Its event anniversary trigger can send renewal or birthday emails each year from a date field you import.

It fits a solo agent or small agency that writes its own newsletters. There's no texting and no AMS link.

Our take

For a small agency MailerLite is one of the cheapest ways to send a newsletter and yearly renewal reminders. Unsubscribed and bounced addresses don't count toward your bill.

Comfort is enough for most agencies, with 50 automations. Power only matters if you need many users.

The limits are real, though. There's no texting, and date triggers fire at 4 AM UTC, which is midnight Eastern or the evening before out west.

Pros

  • Low published prices at every list size
  • Unsubscribed and bounced addresses aren't billed
  • Yearly date triggers for renewals, even on the Free plan
  • One-click unsubscribe header on by default
  • Pause billing for two months a year

Cons

  • No texting at all
  • No insurance content or AMS link
  • Date triggers run on UTC time, not US time
  • Refunds are at MailerLite's discretion
  • Free plan caps you at 250 subscribers

Corrections

Vendors change their pricing all the time and they don't email us when they do. So if you see a price on here that's gone up, a plan MailerLite quit selling or a contract term that reads different now, let us know and send the link to the page where MailerLite has it. Somebody here pulls up that page and checks it before we change anything on ours.
