GetResponse Email Marketing review: pricing, automations and AMS connections for agents

By the IAT editorial team | Updated October 4, 2026

GetResponse is an email and automation platform priced by list size, with no monthly send cap on paid plans. A special occasion step can send renewal reminders from any date field you import.

It suits an agency that emails its list often and writes its own content. Starter covers one custom automation, such as a renewal reminder, plus a ready birthday email. Marketer allows any number.

Our take

At 1,000 contacts Starter is $15.58 a month billed yearly and still includes a Salesforce link. The lack of a send cap suits agencies that email weekly.

The contact count is where costs creep. Each list counts separately and people who left still count that month, so keep one main list.

US agencies can't text without Enterprise. If texting matters, look elsewhere.

Pros

  • No monthly send cap on paid plans
  • Renewal reminders from any date field, up to a year out
  • Salesforce sync on the cheapest paid plan
  • Automatic domain setup at common hosts
  • Consent wording and dates saved on each contact

Cons

  • US texting needs Enterprise
  • Contacts on several lists count several times
  • No refunds, even on renewals
  • No insurance content or AMS link
  • Free plan automations stop after 14 days

Billed monthly, as of October 2026, from getresponse.com/pricing. Paying 12 months ahead takes 18% off, so the plans table shows yearly rates for 1,000 contacts.

What counts as a contact

Everyone on file during the month, including people who unsubscribed, were deleted or went inactive. Someone on three lists counts three times.

Good to know before you buy

  • Going over your tier adds a monthly fee for the difference, even on yearly plans.
  • Past 100,000 contacts, each extra 1,000 costs $4 a month.
  • No send cap, but heavy use can get the account suspended without a refund.
  • Charities get half off monthly plans.

Corrections

Vendors change their pricing all the time and they don't email us when they do. So if you see a price on here that's gone up, a plan GetResponse Email Marketing quit selling or a contract term that reads different now, let us know and send the link to the page where GetResponse Email Marketing has it. Somebody here pulls up that page and checks it before we change anything on ours.
