Our take
InsBOSS sells two very different things. Premium is a managed service with quality control and a backup assistant, priced on a call. Flex is a flat $1,100 a month, and InsBOSS employs the assistant while you do all the supervising.
It spells out which tasks need a license better than most firms here, so you know what to keep in-house. The assistants aren't licensed.
Read the Flex agreement closely. It charges a full month to set up and a $25,000 fee if you want to hire the assistant yourself.
Pros
- Flex has a published monthly price
- Backup assistant included on Premium
- Clear list of tasks kept with licensed staff
- No lock-in contract on Premium
- Company computers and VPN for every assistant
- E&O and cyber coverage included with Premium
Cons
- Assistants aren't licensed
- No quality checks or oversight on Flex
- Flex setup costs a full month, and again for a replacement
- High fee to hire a Flex assistant directly
- No SOC 2 or ISO 27001 report listed

Corrections
Vendors change their pricing all the time and they don't email us when they do. So if you see a price on here that's gone up, a plan InsBOSS quit selling or a contract term that reads different now, let us know and send the link to the page where InsBOSS has it. Somebody here pulls up that page and checks it before we change anything on ours.
