Insurance Agent App Certs on Demand review: pricing, certificates and AMS connections

By the IAT editorial team | Updated October 9, 2026

Certs on Demand is the certificate module of Insurance Agent App, an online portal and a mobile app, both agency-branded, for independent agencies. Agency staff upload master certificates, and insureds then request basic certificates themselves. They can change the certificate holder details and make simple additional insured requests that need only a name and address.

The app delivers the certificate as a PDF to the insured and the certificate holder and logs it back to the agency.

Our take

Certs on Demand fits independent agencies that already use Insurance Agent App or want a branded client app, and that send the same certificates to new holders over and over. The price covers the whole app and follows your count of active clients, from $382 a year up to 100 clients.

The limit to know first is how narrow self-service is. Anything with special wording, endorsements or a waiver of subrogation goes to a CSR, so it cuts routine work without replacing certificate review.

Pros

  • Unlimited certificates with no per-certificate fee
  • Insureds change the holder details or add a simple additional insured, and complex requests go to a CSR
  • The certificate goes to both the insured and the holder, and the agent is informed
  • Activity writes back to HawkSoft, EZLynx, QQCatalyst, AMS360 and Momentum at the policy level

Cons

  • Sold only as part of the full Insurance Agent App platform
  • Insureds can't issue certificates with special wording or endorsements
  • Staff upload master certificates by hand
  • No holder-side tracking of third-party certificates
  • Fees are paid in advance and aren't refunded

Prices as of October 2026, from insuranceagentapp.com/pricing. They cover the whole Insurance Agent App, and certificates are one feature of it. Active clients means clients with an active policy, so an agency with 500 of them pays $499 once, then $85 a month.

Good to know before you buy

  • Certs on Demand is one part of Insurance Agent App and isn't sold alone.
  • Paying a year upfront takes 15% off the setup fee and the first 12 months, but it isn't refundable.
  • The setup fee covers branding and setting up your app.

Getting started

  1. Book a demo

Start with a 15-minute call, then schedule the demo.

  2. Brand the app

The one-time setup fee covers branding and setting up your app.

  3. Upload master certificates

Drag and drop a master certificate, a saved certificate reused for new holders, for each insured into the admin dashboard.

  4. Invite insureds

Use the email invite campaign to get commercial clients onto the app.

Phone support runs 9am to 5pm Eastern on weekdays, and email replies come within 1 business day. A 30-minute refresher session can be booked from the contact page.

Issuing certificates

Who issues
The app issues simple requests. Your CSRs handle the rest
Policy data
Master certificates staff upload, with policy details synced from the AMS
Delivery
A PDF goes to the insured and the certificate holder, and the agent is told

ACORD forms and policy data

Certificates come from the master certificates your staff upload, so they use whatever ACORD form you saved. Ask which forms the app can reissue before you buy.

Policy data syncs in real time from HawkSoft, every two hours from EZLynx and QQCatalyst, and daily from AMS360 and Momentum.

Self-service for insureds and holders

Who uses it
Insureds, in the agency-branded app on iOS and Android or the online portal
What they can change
The certificate holder's name and contact details, and simple additional insured requests that need only a name and address
What goes to your staff
Contract wording, special endorsements, non-standard additional insured terms and waivers of subrogation

The request form asks the insured to pick a policy and a need-by date. A waiver of subrogation stops the carrier from recovering its costs from the holder.
