TextSpot review for insurance agents: pricing, texting and compliance

By the IAT editorial team | Updated October 9, 2026

TextSpot gives an agency one business number for two-way texts, scheduled reminders and bulk messages sent one by one. Plans are sold by monthly text credits.

It suits agencies that text clients but call from another system. Most small offices fit the 500 or 1,000 credit plan.

Our take

TextSpot is texting only, with no calls. It handles quote follow-ups, renewal reminders and client chats from one shared number.

It files your carrier registration for a small fee and adds an opt-out notice to the first text.

The catch is the number. TextSpot owns it and can reassign it once you cancel.

Pros

  • Scheduled and recurring texts
  • TextSpot files the carrier registration
  • Free opt-out notice on the first text
  • Incoming texts don't use credits
  • Pause for a small fee and keep the number

Cons

  • You don't own the number
  • No calling
  • Credits don't roll over
  • CRM links only through Zapier
  • Data deleted when you cancel

Corrections

Vendors change their pricing all the time and they don't email us when they do. So if you see a price on here that's gone up, a plan TextSpot quit selling or a contract term that reads different now, let us know and send the link to the page where TextSpot has it. Somebody here pulls up that page and checks it before we change anything on ours.
