Sircon Producer Central review: pricing, NIPR filing and features
Sircon Producer Central is Vertafore's licensing system of record for insurance carriers. It syncs producer licenses, appointments, continuing education (CE) and hierarchies from NIPR each day and files appointments and terminations with the states.
Its web services tell a carrier's quoting and commission systems whether a producer can sell. It's priced by quote, and the carrier pays state fees on top.
- Best for
- Carriers that need a system of record for producer licenses and appointments
- Price
- Quote only
- State and NIPR fees
- The carrier pays state fees, plus a Sircon fee on each termination
- NIPR sync
- Daily, from the NIPR Producer Database
- Appointments
- Files appointments and terminations electronically, singly or in bulk
- Carrier contracting
- Onboarding and e-signature are a separate product
- Demo or trial
- Demo through sales. No trial
Our take
Producer Central suits a carrier with a large appointed sales force that wants one licensing record feeding its other systems. Its edge is the states whose regulators run Sircon software, 18 by Vertafore's count, where appointment requests come back almost at once. A sales authorization check can stop a quote or a commission payment for a producer who isn't cleared.
It's a carrier tool only, and onboarding with e-signature is a separate purchase. Plan on a quote, a deposit for state fees and some integration work.

Good to know before you buy
- Vertafore reviews the deposit each month and can pause service until it's topped up.
- Extra service work is billed at Vertafore's market rates at the time.
- Onboarding and Sircon Compensation are sold as their own products.
NIPR and state filing
- Connection to NIPR
- Authorized NIPR partner. Requests go straight to the states that run Sircon and through NIPR's filing gateway everywhere else
- How often it syncs
- Daily
- States covered
- All 50. The Sircon states answer almost right away, and other states' timing varies
What it pulls from NIPR
- Licenses and lines of authority
- Appointments
- Education requirements
- Hierarchies
- Changes reconciled on their own, with a review queue for conflicts
What it files for you
- Appointment requests, with the state's answer posted back
- Terminations with state reason codes, singly or in bulk
- Batches for many producers, checked and prefilled first
Two termination gaps. Massachusetts requests and Arkansas firm producers can't be terminated electronically. You record those and file them on the state website, unless you subscribe to Vertafore Outsourcing Services.
Licenses and credentials
License types
- Resident and nonresident licenses
- Lines of authority
- Firm and agency licenses
- Appointments
Other credentials tracked
- CE requirements
- E&O coverage
- Bonds
- Background investigations
- Items a carrier requires
CE requirements sync from NIPR and from course completion clearinghouses. The CE Deficiency report lists producers whose resident license expires in 30, 60, 90 or 120 days with CE still open.
Some states issue licenses that never expire. For those, Sircon works out a date from the CE renewal date or the resident license.
Appointments and terminations
- How appointments are filed
- Electronic requests from the producer record or a CSV file. The state's approval, denial or error posts back
- States
- Every state is filed electronically, except Florida individual appointments that Vertafore's outsourcing team files on paper
- Terminations
- From the record or a bulk file, with the state's reason code. They can be dated up to 12 months ahead
- Quick Terminate
- Records a termination without sending it to the state
- Non-appointing states
- Record-only appointments
- Appointment profiles
- Save the state, company and appointment type sets you use most
Contracting and onboarding
- Carrier paperwork
- Onboarding interviews and e-signature come in Sircon Onboarding & Self-Service, a separate product
- Ready-to-sell check
- The Producer Authorization Web Service answers yes or no for one producer, product, state and sales step, such as a quote or a commission payment
- Producer self-service
- Producers review their details, compliance status and licenses in a portal
Hierarchies and roles
Hierarchies sync with each producer record. Reports list everyone under a parent agreement and any producer missing an upline.
- User roles
- Security roles control what each user can open. Reports filter by business unit, department and location
Alerts and renewals
Reports that work as to-do lists
- License Renewals Due
- CE Deficiency
- Professional Liability Insufficient Coverage
- Required Items
- The Data Reconciliation queue for conflicts
Sircon works from reports rather than email or text alerts. You can save, share and schedule reports, and inquiries export to Excel, PDF, XML or CSV.

Corrections
Vendors change their pricing all the time and they don't email us when they do. So if you see a price on here that's gone up, a plan Sircon Producer Central quit selling or a contract term that reads different now, let us know and send the link to the page where Sircon Producer Central has it. Somebody here pulls up that page and checks it before we change anything on ours.
