EOforLess review for insurance agents: E&O cost, coverage and policy terms

By the IAT editorial team | Updated October 9, 2026

Agent E&O covers your defense and any payment when a client blames a mistake in your work for a loss. EOforLess is a Gallagher brand that sells it online through two partner programs, both written by CNA companies.

Life and health agents enroll in a NAPA program, and P&C agents enroll in one run by 360 Coverage Pros. Both show the premium before you apply.

Our take

EOforLess suits an agent who wants to compare a price and buy E&O online in one sitting. It is a storefront, so the coverage comes from the NAPA or 360 Coverage Pros program you pick.

Most life and health agents buy Option A at $441 a year for $1 million per claim and $3 million a year, with no deductible. Solo P&C agents buy basic P&C at $643 for $1 million per claim, with a $7,500 deductible on each claim. Both prices were published in October 2026.

On the P&C side, the limit is $1 million per claim and $1 million or $2 million a year. Defense costs come out of that limit on both paths.

Pros

  • Premiums are shown before you apply
  • CNA companies rated A+ by AM Best write both programs
  • Proof of insurance as soon as you're approved
  • Life and health and P&C paths from one site
  • Monthly payments by card or bank draft

Cons

  • EOforLess doesn't write the coverage, so terms depend on the partner program
  • Defense costs reduce the limit
  • Basic P&C carries a $7,500 deductible on each claim
  • No separate newly licensed rate on this path

Policy form
Claims-made and reported
Retroactive date
The first day of your continuous E&O coverage. Older mistakes aren't covered
Prior acts
Covered back to that date if you never had a gap. The Medicare-only option covers only past Medicare sales
Tail options
You can buy an extended reporting period, extra time to report claims after you stop coverage. NAPA says agents usually buy one to five years when they retire or leave the business

Claims-made means the policy in force when the claim is made pays it. Keep your retroactive date when you switch by starting the new policy the day the old one ends.

Limits, deductibles and defense

Limit per claimAggregateDeductible
$1 million$3 million$0 on life, health and fixed or indexed annuities. $5,000 on variable products and mutual funds
$2 million$2 millionSame as Options A, B and C. Experienced life and health agents only
$1 million$1 million$0 on Medicare only
$1 million$1 million or $2 million$7,500 on basic P&C

Per claim is the most paid for one claim. The aggregate is the most paid in a year for all claims. The deductible is your share of each claim.

Defense costs
Inside the limit, and the deductible applies to them
Program cap
All agents in the program share a total of $50 million a year for life and health and $25 million for P&C, except in New York. A very large loss elsewhere could use some of it up

Corrections

Vendors change their pricing all the time and they don't email us when they do. So if you see a price on here that's gone up, a plan EOforLess quit selling or a contract term that reads different now, let us know and send the link to the page where EOforLess has it. Somebody here pulls up that page and checks it before we change anything on ours.
