Insly review: pricing, downloads and accounting

By the IAT editorial team | Updated October 6, 2026

Insly is cloud policy administration software for MGAs and insurers. It lets them build insurance products, rate and sell them through brokers, and keep policies, premium accounting and claims in one place.

It fits MGAs and insurers more than US retail agencies, since it has no US carrier downloads. Insly quotes a monthly fee for a base package and modules, with unlimited users.

Our take

Insly suits an MGA or insurer that wants to launch and change its own products without hiring programmers. Brokers get a portal to quote and bind, and premium accounting stays inside the same system.

It isn't built for a US retail agency. There are no IVANS downloads from carriers, so look at a US agency system if most of your book comes from carrier downloads.

Pros

  • Low-code product and rate builder
  • Unlimited staff and broker users
  • Insurance ledger with multiple currencies
  • Broker portal and claims portal included in the platform
  • Monthly license with published terms

Cons

  • No published prices
  • No US carrier downloads
  • Three months' notice to leave and no refunds
  • Office books need separate accounting software
  • Full setup takes about 3 months

Clients and policies

Insly is a policy administration system, which means it holds the insurance products themselves as well as the policies sold on them. An MGA (managing general agent, a firm that writes policies for insurers) builds products, sells them through brokers and keeps policies, premiums, claims and documents in one place.

Corrections

Vendors change their pricing all the time and they don't email us when they do. So if you see a price on here that's gone up, a plan Insly quit selling or a contract term that reads different now, let us know and send the link to the page where Insly has it. Somebody here pulls up that page and checks it before we change anything on ours.
