By the IAT editorial team | Updated October 5, 2026

Financial Independence Group, known as FIG, is an IMO and FMO for independent licensed financial professionals. It supports fixed and fixed indexed annuities, life insurance, disability income and care planning, with advisor education, marketing help and the FIG Portal.

Best for
Annuity and life producers who want planning resources, education and a portal more than a recruiting team
Lines

How you get paid

Ask for the schedule by carrier and the pay-path forms before you contract.

Leaving

Under the April 1, 2026 portal terms, users own their Customer Content and AI Inputs, while FIG owns non-customer data and de-identified derivatives. Portal rights end when the portal agreement ends, and an export process is not published. Payment obligations incurred before portal termination survive termination.

Producer advances, chargebacks and other agent debt on exit are not addressed in those terms.

Corrections

Vendors change their pricing all the time and they don't email us when they do. So if you see a price on here that's gone up, a plan Financial Independence Group quit selling or a contract term that reads different now, let us know and send the link to the page where Financial Independence Group has it. Somebody here pulls up that page and checks it before we change anything on ours.
