ACCEL GreenLight review: pricing, NIPR filing and features
GreenLight is ACCEL Compliance's software for tracking producer and company licenses and onboarding retail agencies. ACCEL can also run the licensing work for you through its Complete License Maintenance Program, filing in GreenLight itself.

Our take
GreenLight makes the most sense when you buy it with ACCEL's people. In the managed service, ACCEL staff file applications and renewals, pay state fees and track it all in the software. They cover license types most tools skip, from surplus lines to adjusters and TPAs.
On its own, the software tracks licenses and runs a branded onboarding portal for MGAs and wholesalers. It doesn't file carrier appointments, and ACCEL publishes no prices or contract terms.

- State fees paid and reconciled every month
- Covers surplus lines, adjuster, TPA and MGA licenses
- Branded onboarding links for retail agencies

- Tracks secretary of state and DBA filings
Cons
- No published prices, and software fees vary with use
- Doesn't file carrier appointments
- No public contract terms

- The managed service checks NIPR only twice a year

Contracting and onboarding
How retail onboarding works
- You set the requirements, such as E&O, a W9, the agency agreement and licenses
- Each new producer gets a branded email link
- The portal flags gaps, such as E&O limits that are too low
- Agency agreements fill in on their own
- Ready-to-sell check
- The dashboard shows who is cleared to sell and alerts you when a credential lapses, such as an expired E&O policy
- Built for
- MGAs, managing general underwriters, wholesalers and carriers
- Setup
- You list your producer requirements and ACCEL builds them into the portal
Hierarchies and roles
The onboarding portal has two levels. You onboard retail agencies, and each agency adds its own producers and their licenses.
Alerts and renewals
License system
- Reminders on their own
- Standard and custom reports
- Notices of compliance actions and exceptions
Onboarding portal
- A notice when a producer finishes a form
- Reminders to producers on a schedule you set
- An email when a producer falls out of compliance

Frequently asked questions
How much does ACCEL GreenLight cost?
ACCEL quotes it. The software license is a subscription plus fees tied to use, and the managed service is priced on its own.
Can I use GreenLight without ACCEL's service?
Yes. ACCEL sells several GreenLight tools as software only, and your team does the filing.
Which licenses does ACCEL handle?
Producer, surplus lines, reinsurance intermediary, adjuster, MGA, TPA and PBM licenses, for people and for companies.
How often does ACCEL check NIPR?
Twice a year in the managed service, to confirm good standing and catch any posted administrative actions.
Who is the onboarding portal for?
MGAs, wholesalers and carriers that sign up retail agencies. Each agency then adds its own producers and licenses.

Corrections
Vendors change their pricing all the time and they don't email us when they do. So if you see a price on here that's gone up, a plan ACCEL GreenLight quit selling or a contract term that reads different now, let us know and send the link to the page where ACCEL GreenLight has it. Somebody here pulls up that page and checks it before we change anything on ours.
