Neptune Flood review for retail agents: programs, access and binding authority
Neptune Flood is a private flood MGA that quotes and binds online in every state. Its software underwrites each property, so there is no underwriter to wait on and no elevation certificate. As an MGA, it writes policies under authority its carriers give it.
It suits any agency that writes homes or buildings in flood areas. You enroll online and can quote the same day.
- Best for
- Agents who want private flood quoted and bound in minutes, with higher limits than the NFIP
- Type
- Flood MGA with automated underwriting, owned by a public company
- Lines
- Primary and excess flood for homes, commercial buildings and condo associations, plus earthquake
- Access
- Enroll online with your tax ID and E&O details, then quote right away
- Authority
- Underwrites, quotes, binds, issues and endorses in house
- States
- Flood in all 50 states and DC
Our take
Neptune makes private flood quick. A quote takes an address, binding takes under two minutes and limits reach $15,000,000 on the building.
It fits agencies that want a fast option beside the NFIP, especially for higher-value homes and commercial buildings. The waiting period is short too, and a home sale skips it.
There is no human to argue a risk with. If Triton, Neptune's underwriting software, says no, your only fallback is an NFIP policy.

Quote and bind authority
"Underwrites" means its own staff set the terms. "In house" under Binds means the firm can commit the carrier without asking first. A blank cell means the firm hasn't published that step.
| Program | Quotes | Underwrites | Binds | Issues the policy | Endorses |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Residential flood | In house | ||||
| Commercial flood | In house | ||||
| Condo association flood | In house | ||||
| Earthquake | In house |
Flood quotes come back bindable in the portal, and the policy issues once you bind. Earthquake binds in house too.

Corrections
Vendors change their pricing all the time and they don't email us when they do. So if you see a price on here that's gone up, a plan Neptune Flood quit selling or a contract term that reads different now, let us know and send the link to the page where Neptune Flood has it. Somebody here pulls up that page and checks it before we change anything on ours.
