What "Claimed" means
A profile marked Claimed has a verified contact at the company. That is all it means.
How a company claims its profile
A company claims its profile when someone there confirms a work email on the company's own domain. A code we send to the email address the company publishes on its own website works too. We do not verify by phone and we do not accept agencies acting for a company.
What it does not mean
- Claimed is not an endorsement or a recommendation, and it does not change where the company appears on our lists or comparisons.
- It does not let the company edit the page. Whatever it sends us gets checked against its own published sources before anything on the profile changes, and we write the copy ourselves.
- It is free. Nobody pays to be Claimed.
